Firesafe Solutions (Pty) Ltd wishes to alert customers of a scam in which fraudsters pretending to represent Firesafe, approach businesses with the purpose of servicing their fire extinguishers. The extinguishers are then removed from the premises never to be returned.
Firesafe will never service your fire extinguishing equipment without an appointment. We also do not accept cash payments on site. Once the work has been completed, we will send you an electronic invoice for settlement via EFT. In addition to this, a Firesafe representative can easily be identified by one (or a combination) of the following methods:
- For every call out a job card is issued bearing Firesafe’s logo and company details as well as the customers details and a description of the work to be done as agreed with you, the customer.
- All Firesafe Technicians and Assistant Technicians wear Firesafe branded clothing and travel in a Firesafe branded vehicle.
- At least one Technician will be a registered SAQCC Fire Technician and will be identifiable by his SAQCC ID card. The ID card will display his name with a picture of him as well as the name Firesafe Solutions (Pty) Ltd with our telephone number. The card is only valid for a year and the expiry date which is at the end of February is clearly displayed on the card.
If you have any doubt if somebody is representing Firesafe we urge you to call us on 021 – 853 8298 and speak to our service department to confirm whether the person is in fact a Firesafe representative. You can also check to see if the Fire Technician and company he represents are legal and registered by visiting the SAQCC website (https://www.saqccfire.co.za).

It is an occupational health & safety as well as insurance requirement that your fire extinguishing equipment be serviced and maintained on an annual basis.
